Mango Flu Immuno at MC
The fourth issue of “Reference Book of a General Practitioner”, the scientific and practical journal, has published an article “Experience in the Use of Mangiferin in the Metabolic Syndrome”.
In his scientific work, A.N. Shishkin, MD, professor, head of the Intermediate Level Therapy Department of the Medicine Faculty of the St. Petersburg State University, State Federal-Funded Educational Institution of Higher Professional Training and N.V. Khudyakova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, assistant of the Intermediate Level Therapy Department of the Medicine Faculty of the St. Petersburg State University, State Federal-Funded Educational Institution of Higher Professional Training published the results of a study of the use of mangiferin on the basis of Mango Flu Immuno complex manufactured by Pharmacor Production. A clinical study involved patients with metabolic syndrome.
Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a complex of metabolic, hormonal and clinical disorders that occur against the background of obesity. Metabolic syndrome causes pathological changes in all tissues and systems of the body. It is characterized by visceral (internal) obesity. Metabolic syndrome threatens the development of diabetes, gout, fatty liver, polycystic ovaries, erectile dysfunction, and in the long term – the emergence of such serious diseases as cirrhosis, thrombosis, myocardial infarction, stroke of cerebral vessels.
Two groups were considered: the main group, patients with metabolic syndrome, and the comparison group. In the course of the study, it was proved that “for patients with metabolic disorders, the use of mangiferin was associated with an improvement in the lipid profile, carbohydrate metabolism and with an immunomodulating effect.”
The authors of the article emphasize the importance of herbal medicine for supporting the health of the population and note the increased interest in the treatment by drugs derived from plant materials.
